The festive season officially began on 16 November, when the Mall of Cyprus welcomed crowds to its spectacular Light Up Event. Hosted by Louis Patsalides and Astero Kyprianou, the afternoon blended humour, warmth and lively entertainment, with Alpha Radio keeping the atmosphere upbeat throughout.

A standout performance by the Louis Tonight Show Band featuring Tefkros Neocleous built anticipation for the moment everyone had gathered for. As the lights illuminated the mall, the space transformed into a glowing festive wonderland signalling the beginning of Christmas at Mall of Cyprus.

Introducing Rooftop Christmas – A First for Cyprus

This year marks the debut of Rooftop Christmas, a landmark new experience running from 12 to 31 December. For the first time, the mall’s rooftop becomes a fully immersive festive village filled with:

• Dazzling light installations
• Themed entertainment zones
• Creative workshops
• Holiday cinema and two themed Movie Nights
• Magic shows, theatrical performances and DJ sets
• A curated festive marketplace with artisan gifts and seasonal treats

With free entrance and a fully complimentary programme, Rooftop Christmas invites visitors of all ages to discover something new every day.

The festivities launch with a live opening concert by Cypriot artist Hovig on 13 December, heralding a vibrant month of music curated by Make Music Cyprus.

A heart-warming addition this year is the presence of Mikroi Iroes, whose dedicated kiosk raises funds for children and families in need, a reminder that giving back lies at the heart of the season.

The Return of a Cherished Tradition: Santa from Lapland

A highlight for many families, the authentic Santa Claus from Lapland returns from 27 to 30 December, in partnership with G. Charalambous Coffee.

Visitors can enjoy:

• The comforting aroma of Charalambous’ freshly roasted Cypriot coffee

Engomi Street Fest – A Celebration of Community Spirit

On 29 November, the Mall of Engomi and the Municipality of Nicosia lit up 28th October Avenue with the dynamic Engomi Street Fest, an all-day celebration of music, craftsmanship and festive fun.

Visitors browsed a bustling Christmas Market filled with handmade gifts and seasonal delicacies, while children enjoyed creative workshops, crafts and storytelling as well as visits from festive characters and performers. As night fell, a spectacular fire show ushered in the official Christmas tree lighting ceremony, uniting the community in a moment of joy and celebration.

Christmas Kids Playground – Daily Festive Fun

The festive programme continues indoors with the Christmas Kids Playground in the Food Court, running on select dates from 22 to 30 December. Young visitors can enjoy:
