Sun-soaked days, cool marble floors and a breeze of fresh ideas – that’s the signature Cyprus summer experience inside Atterbury Europe’s two landmark retail destinations. After last year’s buzz-worthy season, both malls promised to raise the bar and the first half of 2025 proves they’ve delivered.

Mall of Cyprus: prizes, percussion and a fashion first

A passport-perfect start: From 16 May – 15 June, Mall of Cyprus teamed up with Xenos Travel by Royal Holidays to give shoppers a shot at three dream getaways – Paris (Disneyland & Parc Astérix), Vienna or Warsaw. Every €30 spent unlocked an entry, driving repeat visits and a lift in early-summer turnover.

Feel the beat: On 8 June the atrium echoed with Agnes Sacca’s “World of African Drums” Djembe Circle – a kinetic pre-festival teaser for Make Music Cyprus that turned by-standers into a 60-minute pop-up orchestra and built excitement for the island-wide concerts to come.

Your story starts at Mall of Cyprus: May’s brand-led image campaign cast everyday shoppers as main characters in micro-narratives shot around the centre. The Summer Edition rolled out in late June with the same storytelling spark, but with citrusy palettes, swim-ready wardrobe inspo and a gentle nudge towards the sales racks.

A double-shot of new: KIABI arrives this August, bringing the French value-fashion powerhouse to Mall of Cyprus. Expect wide aisles, family-friendly price tags and that signature “wear what you love” philosophy.

Players Arcade 2.0 is now a glow-in-the-dark playground with the immersive Playzer Laser Arena, high-energy Xperia Ninja Course, interactive Xperia Climbing Walls and a café for refuelling between rounds. This upgrade cements the first-floor precinct as an all-age magnet, rain or shine.

Mall of Engomi: family quests, summer rewards and a Comic Con-culture takeover

Kids Fun Zone supersized: What used to be a weekly craft table has morphed into a once-a-month festival. June’s “Set Sail for Adventure” edition (21–22 June) scattered five activity islands across the centre. The pirates, mermaids, face-painting and storytelling drew lively footfall and kept tills ringing deep into the afternoon.

Shop and win, no spend threshold: Throughout July, every receipt qualifies for the mall-wide Summer Competition: four €500 gift cards are up for grabs, a tactic designed to reward loyalty and widen participation during the peak tourist season.

TableFlip 2025 – rolling dice, coding bots: Cyprus Comic Con’s beloved tabletop carnival returned on 5 July, filling the concourses with RPG one-shots, TCG battles, a €1,000 cosplay contest and a new STEM and Kids Zone, featuring robotics demos and coding workshops. Free entry, all day air-conditioning, and a late-night closing time kept the crowds and social-media feeds buzzing.

Why it matters: From drum circles that celebrate cultural rhythm to laser-tag arenas that re-imagine experiential retail, both malls are pushing beyond pure shopping into memory-making. The strategy is clear: intertwine retail, entertainment and community touchpoints so tightly that each visit writes a new chapter in the customer’s own summer story.
